- Diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and Finding Treatment
In 2004, Steve was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease at the age of 54 years old. Doctors found that he carried an early onset form of the disease which occurs in about 2% of people with Alzheimer's Disease and among individuals who are less than 65 years old.
In an attempt to help her husband, Mary began her own research online. She learned information about ketone bodies as an alternative fuel for the brain.
